Atlas Flooring has been covering our community’s floors since 1958, and according to owner Leister Bowling, the fundamentals of the business are the same as they ever were. “Our customers like our pricing and service,” he says. “For our customer service, we try to be the best. And as for price, I won’t allow us to be beat on anything; I’m very competitive.” Atlas Flooring’s large facility allows Bowling to stock a cornucopia of flooring options, many of which tout green credentials: wood, both standard and exotic; various sizes and styles of tile; carpet in every shade and grade, and attractive, durable linoleum and epoxy products. The store’s extra square footage also means Bowling can take advantage of volume discounts, which he then happily passes along to Atlas Flooring’s commercial and residential clients. “We’re getting a lot of high-end carpet from manufacturers at low prices because of the economy,” says Bowling. “I probably have 500 to 600 rolls of carpet in stock right now – more than we’ve ever had. And the same is true for tile; we’ve got a ton of inventory now.” It’s a great time to be in the market for a new floor, and a great time to visit Atlas Flooring.
