“We try to recognize people and remember their dogs’ names,” says P.C.’s Pantry owner Mary Lee Withers. “Not many cats come into the store,” she adds quickly, lest we think she is slighting felines. “But for the dogs who visit, we try to remember names and their favorite treats and toys.” This small detail is illustrative of the level of service P.C.’s Pantry provides. Withers and her loyal staff, all of whom have been with the company for a minimum of five years, are true animal lovers. “We really enjoy what we do and feel that we are here to serve the dogs and cats,” she asserts. From professionally baked biscuits, meatloaves and barkday cakes to hand-selected foods, toys and accessories, a pet couldn’t ask for more than having owners who shop here. P.C.’s Pantry prides itself on supporting animals wherever they live. For example, just last month the store raised money for Big Dogs Huge Paws, a rescue group that finds homes for giant breeds of dogs.
