HospiceCare & Share Thrift Shop

For the third time in four years, HospiceCare & Share is again the favorite of Boulder’s innumerable thrift shoppers. It’s a lovely store selling upscale gently worn clothes, furniture, household items, jewelry, books, DVDs and collectibles. “We have a lot of regular customers; some shop here every day,” explains assistant manager Laurence Bellas. “The quality of our merchandise keeps people coming back.” New items are added daily, so chances are very good you’re going to find that special something. When you scratch that thrifty itch at HospiceCare, understand that you are also directly supporting the care of terminally ill individuals in Boulder and Broomfield counties. A nonprofit organization, HospiceCare walks alongside patients and families who are facing end-of-life decisions and grief. “A lot of people have been affected by hospice care and our volunteers and customers want to give back to that,” says Bellas. Find HospiceCare on eBay for no-reserve items starting at $9.99. What’s more, students and teachers have until Sept. 30th to receive 20% off their in-store purchase with a current I.D. Perhaps most importantly, if you’d like to volunteer at the store, stop in or see the info online. Whatever side of the counter you’re on, a visit to HospiceCare helps people in our community.
