For example, we’re the only hospital in the county offering the innovative da Vinci surgical system which uses breakthrough technology to provide a minimally invasive alternative for many complex surgical procedures.” Besides being a best place for your medical care, Boulder Community Hospital has also been recognized as the Best Local Employer. “Our employees often comment that their coworkers are what make BCH such a special place to work,” says Janice Blankenship, director of human services. “We have over 300 employees who have worked here more than 15 years. This speaks to the loyalty and commitment our employees have toward the hospital and toward each other.” The hospital is truly a family of individuals who support each other. Many employees contribute each year to a special fund that is used to assist coworkers who are facing a financial crisis or emergency. The fund has provided more than $10,000 to employees who were affected by last year’s Four Mile Fire. Employees enjoy opportunities for continued professional growth and development, with a hospital tuition reimbursement program as well as scholarships provided by the hospital Auxiliary. And of course, there are times to get together and just have fun, with special activities like going to a Rockies games or seeing a performance at Boulder’s Dinner Theater.
