“A huge thanks to the voters in the Boulder Gold Awards who recognized the faculty, staff, students and parents at Boulder High School,” says Principal Kevin Braney. “We appreciate the recognition from the community; it’s great to get such good news at the beginning of the school year. We’re fortunate that we have talented students and teachers. We focus on our students first and then on programs. Our students are very talented and creative and dedicated to learning and growing at the school. In general, we’ve been working hard to engage students and parents to make Boulder High an even better place. We have a lot of talented supporters who help us to improve the school.” Founded in 1875 as part of the University of Colorado, Boulder High School is one of Colorado’s oldest and finest high schools, maintaining strong traditions in academics, athletics, fine arts and activities. The school has a strong academic reputation, with one of the most extensive Advanced Placement programs in the state.

Boulder High School is one of Colorado’s oldest and finest high schools. “This is a tremendous honor for us to receive the Boulder County Gold People’s Choice Award,” says Boulder High School’s new principal, Kevin Braney, who is full of enthusiasm for the school. “Winning it is directly related to the support of the community, and the talent of our students and faculty. It’s a place that’s full of great energy – and phenomenal academic achievement. We have 30 Advanced Placement classes, 34 clubs and activities kids can join. We have so much talent in our art, music and theater programs. The spirit that comes from community support and talented students and faculty leads to excellence in everything we do. For me, it’s an honor to continue the good work that is done here, and I look forward to the new heights we can reach together.”
