It seems like you can find sushi just about anywhere these days, from the deli aisle at your grocery store to food trucks that deliver it to your office. A lot of it is “good enough” but there’s only one place to get the best, and that’s at Japango – your premier destination for authentic sushi. Fresh fish is flown in daily and turned into tempting tidbits of Nigiri, Temaki, Sashimi and custom rolls by skillful sushi masters. “Our master chef was trained in traditional sushi making in Japan and has been doing this for 42 years,” says owner Jon Banis. “That’s just one example of how committed we are to bringing you the best and freshest sushi we can.” Japango’s stylish, hip ambiance complements the visual delights on your plate, and the staff is friendly and energetic. Sit at the sushi bar and meet a new friend as you watch the sushi crew work their magic, or grab a table and enjoy exploring the generous menu choices. You’ll also find other traditional and Asian-inspired dishes, like Lobster Potstickers, Spicy Calamari or the Hawaiian Tuna Steak with wasabi sauce and vegetables. “We strive to maintain an authenticity to Japanese cuisine,” Banis explains, from the ingredients and recipes to the way each dish is composed on the plate. Tuesday is All-You-Can-Eat Sushi Night, a favorite event so popular that people write it on their calendars. From 5 to 10 p.m., order just about anything you want from the sushi or dinner menu and don’t stop ‘till you’ve had enough. “We’ve done this since we opened almost 12 years ago,” Banis says, “and we have a packed house all night long. It’s crazy, but great.”

Hapa Sushi

Sushi reigns. And the favorite spot to savor this delicacy is Hapa Sushi. “We owe our awards to our loyal customers, who have come to Hapa since we opened 10 years ago,” says owner Mark Van Grack. “We believe we have the freshest sushi in town – most of the tuna is flown in from Hawaii. Hapa is the Hawaiian slang word for blended culture, and we have some Hapas among our sushi chefs.” Besides the sushi, diners enjoy the whole experience at Hapa Sushi – excellent service, very customer-focused. Hapa has one of the best Happy Hours in town – Monday through Saturday, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.; Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m. to midnight – with great prices on sushi, hand-crafted nigiri, Hapa beer, sake cocktails and more.
